If you grind straight into your portafilter - like most Barista Express, Pro and Touch owners do... you already know the problem. The grinder sprays coffee across the rim, down the sides and onto the bench, and every stray gram is dose you didn't get and mess you have to wipe up. A dosing funnel fixes it in one move.

It clips onto the basket and creates a raised wall around the rim, so grounds that would've spilled land where they're meant to: in the basket. You keep your full dose, your bench stays clean, and your shot-to-shot consistency improves simply because the coffee that came out of the grinder actually made it into the coffee.

It also makes puck prep easier. The funnel gives you a contained space to distribute grounds, run your WDT tool or level the bed without knocking coffee over the sides. And because it locks on rather than just resting in place, it stays put while the grinder runs - no holding it, no wobble, no mess.

What it does

What does a dosing funnel do?

Which machines does it fit?

It fits Breville and Sage 54mm portafilters - including the Barista Express, Barista Pro, Barista Touch, Infuser, Duo Temp Pro, and Bambino Plus. It won't fit 58mm machines like the Dual Boiler or Oracle. If you're unsure, get in touch and we'll confirm.

Will it stay on while I grind?

Do I still need a distributor or puck screen if I have this?

They do different jobs. The funnel keeps your grounds contained and your dose clean; a distributor levels the bed before tamping, and a puck screen sits on top of the puck to even out water flow. They're complementary - use them together for the cleanest, most consistent prep.
