De'Longhi Dedica 51mm Bottomless Portafilter - Walnut Timber Handle

セール価格¥10,000

The De'Longhi Dedica is a capable little machine held back by its stock pressurised basket and single-stream spout. This walnut bottomless portafilter opens it up - a proper 51mm naked design with a stainless steel basket, and the first real upgrade most Dedica owners make. The solid walnut handle brings a darker, richer grain than our almond version, and looks the part on any bench.

Machine Compatibility
  • De'Longhi Dedica (EC680, EC685, EC885)
  • De'Longhi Dedica Duo (EC890)
  • SMEG 50s Style Espresso Coffee Machine (ECF01, ECF02)
Why You'll Love It

Unlocks the Dedica's real potential: A single-wall basket replaces the stock pressurised one, so your grind and technique finally matter.

Bottomless design: See exactly what your extraction is doing and fix channelling directly.

Rich walnut timber handle: Dark, dense grain with a natural feel that improves with use.

Correct 51mm 3-ear Dedica fit: Machined to the De'Longhi Dedica grouphead spec.

A real upgrade path: Paired with a decent burr grinder, it transforms what your Dedica can produce.

Dialing In: Quick Setup Guide

Using your bottomless portafilter on the Dedica

Moving to a single-wall basket is a noticeable shift. Your existing grind setting will likely run too fast at first - pressurised baskets allow coarser grinds because they add back-pressure artificially, so with a single-wall basket you'll need to go finer and more consistent.

What to aim for:

* A 1:2 ratio in 25–30 seconds (e.g. 14g in → 28g out).
* A good extraction flows as a single, centred stream.
* Channelling (split or spurting streams) - check your tamp first, then grind finer.
* Let the machine handle the pressure; your job is dialling the grind carefully.

The bottomless portafilter tells you immediately when you've improved - work through grind adjustments one step at a time and watch the extraction change.

The Dedica's hidden limitation

The De'Longhi Dedica (EC680, EC685, Arte EC885 and related models) is a popular entry-level machine - compact, affordable, and capable of genuinely good espresso. But it ships with a pressurised basket, which builds artificial back-pressure that masks inconsistencies in grind and technique. The result is that many Dedica owners never discover what their machine can really do.

Moving to a single-wall basket and a bottomless portafilter removes that artificial restriction and exposes the raw extraction - so your grind quality and puck prep start to count, which is exactly what lets you dial in and improve. (You'll want a decent burr grinder to get the most from it.)

The walnut handle

Identical handle profile and fit to the almond 51mm Dedica version - the difference is the timber. Walnut is a darker, denser hardwood, closer in tone to dark espresso than milk coffee, with a grain that develops character with daily handling. It's the rich, classic middle ground between our lighter almond and near-black sandalwood.
