How is the V2 different from the original grinder?
Two key upgrades: a sharper 6-star burr for a faster, more uniform grind, and external adjustment with 50 settings (versus the original's internal ring and 12 settings) for easier, more precise dialling in - plus a finer grind range overall.
What is a 6-star burr and why does it matter?
It refers to the burr's cutting geometry - more cutting edges shear the beans more cleanly and quickly, producing a more uniform particle size with fewer fines. A more consistent grind means more even extraction and better-tasting coffee.
What does "external adjustment" mean?
You set your grind size from the outside of the grinder using a stepped 50-position dial, rather than adjusting an internal ring. It's easier to use, easy to see your setting, and simple to return to your favourite grind every time.
Can I use it for espresso?
The V2 grinds finer and more consistently than our original, so it handles the fine end of the range better - great for moka pot, Aeropress and fine filter. If your grinding daily pulling true espresso on a machine, we'd still recommend a dedicated espresso grinder, but the V2 gets you noticeably closer than before.
What brewing methods is it best for?
Filter, pour over, Aeropress, moka pot, French press and cold brew - with finer, more precise control than the original across the whole range.
How much coffee can it grind at once?
Around 20g of beans per fill, caught in the sealed container - ideal for grinding a fresh dose as you need it.
How do I clean it?
Disassemble, brush out the burrs and chamber, and wipe down. Keep the mechanism dry, never submerging it.
