Having just purchased a nice espresso machine, we were looking for something suitable for storing some of the accessories, as well as an upgrade for the plastic tub we had previously used as a knock box.
After a bit of a search we found this product, and while cheaper alternatives are readily available, this served all our needs and would suit the space for our setup without having to use multiple containers.
I was surprised by the weight of it when it arrived, The station itself is very sturdy, solid and well made, it fits 58mm accessories like the tamper perfectly and holds the portafilter nicely in place for filling. The knockbox is made from metal with a dense slightly rubbery bar for knocking, has good volume and is easily removed from the station for emptying and cleaning.
Even for the sale price, this was a bit of a splurge for us but it looks great with our set-up and I am sure that we will get many years of use from it due to it's quality. My one complaint would be that I'd rather the part for holding the portafilter had a hole at the bottom so it was easier clean out any grounds that way have spilled while filling.
Would definitely recommend this for anyone looking for an aesthetically pleasing solution for storing accessories and disposing of grounds.
