De'Longhi Dedica Steam Wand Upgrade - Stainless Steel, 2 Tips

Sale price¥7,600

Turn your Dedica into a proper milk machine. This 304 stainless steel steam wand replaces the Dedica's stock Panarello frother - the one genuine weak point on an otherwise brilliant little machine - so you can hand-texture silky microfoam for flat whites, lattes and actual latte art. It comes with two interchangeable steam tips, so you can dial in exactly how the steam flows.

* Replaces the stock Panarello auto-frother
* 304 food-grade stainless steel
* Two tips included: 1-hole (focused) and 3-hole (gentler, more controllable)
* Textures proper microfoam for latte art
* Tool-free install - twists on in seconds, no disassembly
* Runs cooler to the touch than a bare wand

Why You'll Love It

Ask any Dedica owner what lets the machine down, and it's the steam wand. The stock Panarello injects air automatically, so you get thin, bubbly foam that sits on top of your coffee rather than folding through it - impossible to pour, and nothing like café milk. This wand strips that back to a bare steam tip and puts you in control: stretch the milk to build volume, then roll it into a smooth, glossy microfoam that actually pours. Swap between the focused 1-hole tip and the gentler 3-hole tip to suit your technique, and because it's built from 304 stainless it's durable, rust-resistant and stays cooler to handle. It's the single biggest upgrade you can make to your milk drinks - for a fraction of the price of a new machine.

More Info

The Dedica already pulls a great shot - this fixes the other half of the drink. Where the stock Panarello froths for you (and only one way), a proper steam wand gives you a bare tip and lets your technique do the work, just like a full-sized espresso machine.

Two tips, your choice of steam

  • 1-hole tip: a more focused, concentrated jet - a little more power for spinning the milk.
  • 3-hole tip: spreads the steam across multiple directions, so it's gentler and easier to control - a great place to start while you're learning.

Fitting it takes seconds and needs no tools: remove the stock frother, then twist the new stainless wand into place and tighten by hand. No disassembly, no screwdriver.

Getting great microfoam: pour cold milk into a jug, sit the tip just below the surface and open the steam to stretch the milk (you'll hear a gentle "tss tss"), then lower the jug slightly and let it roll into a smooth whirlpool until the jug is too hot to hold. Give it a swirl and pour. Because the Dedica is a compact single-boiler machine, work with smaller volumes of milk for the best, most controllable results.

FAQs

What does this replace?
It replaces the Dedica's stock Panarello frother - the plastic auto-frother on the steam arm - with a bare stainless steel steam wand that lets you texture milk yourself.

Which machines does it fit?
It's designed for the De'Longhi Dedica (EC680, EC685) and Dedica Arte. It isn't needed for the La Specialista range, which already has a proper steam wand. If you're unsure, get in touch with your model number.

What's the difference between the two tips?
The 1-hole tip gives a more focused, powerful jet of steam, while the 3-hole tip spreads the steam out for gentler, easier control. Both texture proper microfoam - swap them to suit your technique and preference.

Do I need tools to fit it?
No. Remove the stock frother, twist the new wand into place and tighten by hand. No disassembly and no screwdriver required.

Will it let me make latte art?
Yes - that's the point of it. A bare steam tip lets you texture silky, glossy microfoam rather than the stiff, bubbly foam the stock frother produces. With a little practice, that's the milk you need to pour latte art.

Is it safe to touch while steaming?
It stays cooler to the touch than a bare metal wand, so an accidental brush while you're frothing is far less likely to burn you. As always, take care around steam and hot milk.

How do I clean it?
Wipe the wand down after every use and purge a little steam through the tip to clear any milk. Give it a deeper clean periodically, and the tips unscrew if you need to clear a blocked hole.
